Karula Home

Our home is located in an amazingly scenic location near the town of Viljandi, next to Lake Karula.  

Our family village consists of seven cosy houses and one large activity house. In each house there are bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen and living room for joint activities. In the activity house there is a library, a large hall, a 'sensory space' and a kitchen. Large green areas with gazebos, flower beds, bushes and trees surround the houses.  

84 people reside with us permanently. We also have up to 15 people staying with us from Monday to Friday for the everyday assisted living service. The residents are assisted and supported by 41 Personal Assistants, 14 carers and four cooks who work in the kitchen of the activity house.  

We also provide a 24-hour special care service for people with profound multiple disabilities. We are particularly proud of successfully setting up an everyday support service on a daily or weekly basis in May 2018.  

We like to spend our days in nature, doing bungee workouts and light exercise, celebrating holidays and events together, playing games and listening to music, dancing at the disco, watching films, spending time in the 'sensory space', solving puzzles or doing simple handicrafts.  

Our home is suitable for people who are interested in living away from the buzz of urban life and who have a greater need for care.
