Pärnu Oja 144
The new and beautiful terraced houses of our home are located on Oja Street in Pärnu. We are situated in the heart of the city, but you can still enjoy the view of a scenic birch forest from the window. There are also roads for cyclists and pedestrians nearby. Our home is also close to River Pärnu, where it is possible to swim in the summer. You can also take a walk on the health track next to the river.
The home is made up of two separate houses. The first house consists of two flats and a room for working and having meetings, while the second house consists of three flats. Each flat has six bedrooms and a shared kitchen and living room. In our spare time, we can use the living room to chat on the sofa or watch television in the evenings. The living room also includes a large table, which we use for preparing and eating our meals, drinking tea or coffee, drawing and playing board games.
11 activity instructors and one caterer support our residents in their daily activities. Additionally, a nurse regularly visits our home and helps to find solutions for residents' medical problems.
Because our home is located in the city, our residents have the possibility to be involved in community life and use public services. Places that are not situated within walking distance can be reached by public transport. There are bus stops near our home.
Days spent in our home are similar to days in any other home. The residents prepare their own breakfast, lunch, and dinner and do necessary chores both indoors and outdoors. They spend their days doing different collaborative activities or handicrafts, solving crossword puzzles and reading newspapers. Considering the needs of our residents, our staff instructs them during different activities. On workdays, our residents also participate in long-term sheltered employment.
Our home provides a safe and peaceful residence to those who are unable to independently live their everyday lives due to their health. Activity instructors encourage and support our residents in everyday activities by helping them discover both their new environment as well as their hidden skills.
