Tallinn Paljassaare Unit

Our home is located in Põhja-Tallinn, on Paljassaare. Pikakari beach and the Paljassaare birdwatching towers are within a couple of kilometres of our home. The port and Tallinn Animal Shelter are also nearby. You can even see the bus stop from the window and the city centre is only 15 minutes away.

Our home is a two-storey building which contains four apartments and is surrounded by a large beautiful garden. Each apartment has six bedrooms, a large and bright open-plan kitchen and living room where you can watch TV, do handicrafts and creative work, exercise and dance and enjoy cooking and chatting.

There are four families living in our home, altogether 24 people. The residents are assisted and supported by eleven Personal Assistants, a carer and a member of catering staff.

Our home stands out for having residents from various backgrounds: people of different genders, ages and native languages with different skills and ambitions. Regardless, every person is cared for and provided with attention, a feeling of safety and the chance to grow. We are glad that each of our residents gets to feel useful and contributes to the household according to their interests and abilities. We have a very friendly environment in our home – we support, help and encourage one another.

The best part about our home is that our residents always have the option to choose what they eat, how they dress and how they spend their free time. We're happy to live in the city where all necessary services are close by, yet we are also surrounded by nature and get to enjoy a sea view every day.

Our home is suitable for everyone – those who are more independent and those who need a lot of assistance; younger and older people; those who are able to get around on their own as well as people in wheelchairs and with balance disorders; nature lovers and those fond of city life.
